The Beginning
Elena leads the first small group to Patagonia, setting the tone for slow, story-led travel.
Bespoke journeys from Seattle, crafted with care since 2003.
Adiga Travel was founded in 2003 in Seattle by Elena Vasquez, a former National Geographic photographer who believed travel should feel intimate, honest, and deeply rooted in place. What began as curated small-group trips for friends quickly grew into a trusted studio for travelers who wanted more than checklist tourism.
Today, a team of thirty-five travel specialists designs bespoke itineraries across more than fifty countries. Every route is built around real conversations—about pace, purpose, and the kind of memories you want to bring home—so the journey matches the traveler, not a template.
Our philosophy is simple: travel should foster authentic connections, tread lightly on the planet, and favor the off-beaten-path without sacrificing comfort. We partner with local hosts, prioritize sustainable operators, and leave room for the unplanned moments that often become the heart of the trip.

Principles our team applies when choosing partners, pacing days, and supporting you on the road.
We partner with local communities and independent guides so your time in a destination supports the people who call it home—not just the brochure circuit.
Every journey contributes to conservation and climate accountability through vetted offsets, low-impact logistics, and suppliers who share our environmental standards.
Each itinerary is handcrafted around your interests, mobility, and rhythm—balancing iconic highlights with quiet detours that feel personal.
Your comfort and safety always come first, from transparent pre-trip briefings to 24/7 support if plans need to shift on the ground.
